Welcome

Mumboathouses in WellingtonIn the last month I went on a speaking tour for the Theosophical Society again. I spoke in Wellington, Nelson, Takaka, Christchurch and Oamaru. As well as meeting up with members of the MarylynTheosophical Society again I also caught up with family and friends. In Wellington I stayed with Rachel for a couple of day,  in Nelson with family and in Christchurch with Michael. The photo above areof boat houses out at Paremata. One was owned by Sam Hunt.

full moon from planeI have also had a national council meeting in Auckland and met Vic Hao Chin, the President of the Phillipines Theosophical Society. With only 300 members they have achived amazing results running schools and business etc. and they are planning to start a university.

We have completed our shift into the new premises for the Theosophical Society in Dunedin (apart from unpacking the library, which is still in boxes).

I am looking forward to having more time at home to catch up on all my projects and it will also be a good time to be out in the garden.

Books I read this month

The Field by Lynn McTaggart

This book is along the lines of Ervin Laszlo's  books on the quantum vaccum. Lynn McTaggart uses the term Zero Point Field.  She writes more widely covering remote viewing, distant healing, ESP, homeopathy, etc. She only used the most highly respected scientists she could. The descriptions of how the Field may work are so strange it is hard to remember that the book is solidly set in science.

Adventures in Complexity by Lesley Kuhn

I finished readiung this book. It turns out she is a lecturer at the University of Western Sydney, where I did my MA in Chaos and Complexity and she marked some of my papers. They always had quite a post-modernist slant which comes through in the book. I liked her fractal fragments - stories of people in organisations
