Welcome

This is the first monthly newsletter. I hope you will find the information useful and interesting. I am including a section on what I have been doing during the month, interesting websites or web resources, any saying or interesting thoughts or anything else that comes to mind.

If you wish to continue receiving this newsletter then reply to this email with SUBSCRIBE written in the subject area for the email. If you do not wish to receive it you can reply with REMOVE in the subject area, or just delete the email. I will only send out further newsletters to people who actively reply to say they want to receive it, becaiuse we all know how annoying it is to recieve emails we don't want.

What have I been up to?

Getrude MatsheAustin PowersI attended a life coaching conference in Queenstown that was really inspiring. There was a great talk by Getrude Matshe who was born in Zimbabwe, but now lives in New Zealand running a number of very successful businesses. Topics covered ranged from business skills to life coaching demonstrations, webpage making and marketing, life coaching for differewnt groups, e.g. retirement, executive, personal coaching etc.

We also had an Austin Powers impersonator at our conferenc meal who was just great. The photo from my cell phone didn't do him credit.

Best of the Net

There are great videos on www.ted.com. A really interesting one this month was  Garrett Lisi  talking on "a beautiful new theory of everything". He talks about the sub atomic particles which when mapped form beautiful patterns, but suggest the nature of some particles yet to be found. He theorises that that they form a symetrical 8 dimensional pattern, which is reminiscent of the chakra system or the kabbalah.

Local happenings

Reweaving the webI went to a book launch for Sparrow Hawk (Jay Ray) for her book Reweaving the Web. It describes her personal journey of discovery, especially linking in with Shamanism. the opening was at the Arai te Uru Kokiri Centre where Jay has been learning the maori language. She has a website with information about her book, her life and how she sees the world.
