From our 100 acre farm
in Teddington we have magnificent views of Lyttleton Harbour and
the Port Hills, with amazing sunsets and breath-taking stargazing. The
farm is forested and we have cattle, calves, pet sheep and alpacas. A
45 minute walk to the top of Bergli Hill offers superb views and just
imagine taking the alpacas for a walk up the hill with a picnic dinner
and a bottle of wine in the saddle bags. Bergli is ideally situated for sightseeing in Akaroa, Lyttelton, Christchurch, Tekapo, Mt. Cook and Canterbury. Attractions include horse riding, hiking, golf, tennis, hot springs, hot air ballooning, caving, and many more. It is a scenic drive of 45 minutes to Christchurch International Airport, and 30 minutes to the centre of Christchurch. We can welcome you at the Airport or station by request. |

We built our spacious
two storey log house ourselves and treasure its simple beauty and
relaxed atmosphere. The furniture is hand crafted by Max from
Macrocarpa trees grown on the farm. There are three spacious guest rooms and
the spa is hot 24 hours a day. A full breakfast with Rowena's freshly baked muffins is served at Max's handcrafted table for 10, looking out across the harbour. A picnic table on the lawn is the ideal place to enjoy a pre dinner wine, and dinner is available on request from $35. The organic garden supplies vegetables and fruit and the fruit trees in the orchard produce more each year. Bees give lovely rich honey for the breakfast table. |
